The United Firefighters Union of Australia is a registered federal union of career firefighters and other fire service personnel. The Victorian Branch of the United Firefighters Union of Australia represents career firefighters, emergency call centre employees and fire agency corporate, administration, hospitality, technical and mechanical employees across Fire Rescue Victoria, Country Fire Authority & more.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with Accounts and administration experience. We are looking for a self-motivated candidate who is able to demonstrate a high-level of attention to detail.
Key responsibilities & functions:
Accounts payable processing including processing invoices, coding, supplier statement reconciliations and payments
Maintaining accounts, general ledger, including all Bank/General Ledger reconciliations
Payroll function including Weekly Payroll, BAS, IAS, Super & PAYG, Payroll Tax, Work Cover Preparation
Oversight of a small Administrative Department of up to 3 personnel
Scheduled reporting to the Branch Secretary
About you:
To be successful in the role, you must possess the following essential attributes:
Experience and proven ability in providing a full range of Office Management and bookkeeping services including financial reporting
High Level of Experience with MYOB Account Right
Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with union members, colleagues, and external stakeholders
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Ability to work autonomously
A demonstrated ability to manage a small administrative team
