About the role
The Account Manager – Licensing will play a key role in transforming the delivery of Copyright Licensing services and portfolio management. The Copyright Licensing line of business represents a diverse portfolio of customers with copyright or licensing permissions for Standards Australia’s content.
You will be responsible for implementing best practice copyright licensing including quote management, customer service, and customer lifecycle account management.
What you'll do
- Championing and extracting value from Standard Australia’s IP assets through proactive and reactive licensing arrangements
- Driving transformation of service delivery to streamline processes and minimise manual touchpoints
- Driving retention, growth and customer satisfaction of licensing customers through relationship building and understanding of customer usage needs and potential needs
- Driving sales and marketing initiatives that drive customer success and new commercial opportunities
- Managing appropriate decision making for copyright licensing requests with an understanding of the commercial and non-commercial implications
- Reporting of Copyright Licensing including transactions, trends, retention and forecasting
- Strong commitment to customer service, delivering on SA’s customer excellence charter
- Act as an escalation point for customer complaints, ensuring learnings are documented and feedback is championed to address recurring errors and training needs
- Coordinating and assisting with compliance audits as required
- Working with various business units on the pricing strategy and pricing models for licensing
- Educating customers on new pricing, licensing structures and opportunities which apply to them
- Working closely and collaboratively with the Product Development, Finance and Legal teams
- Participate in business initiatives across the team to optimise productivity and efficiencies
- Manage IP protection and coordinate with the legal team on responses to infringements
- Overseeing the day-to-day operation and activities of the team, optimising scheduling of tasks to ensure excellent customer support is in place
- Monitoring performance, conduct mentoring and training, promote a culture of customer service excellence
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar complex customer servicing and portfolio management roles.
- Experienced in general account management
- Commercially minded approach
- Results and goal oriented with the ability to demonstrate excellent judgment, solution orientation.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and organise multiple priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to perform problem analysis and problem resolution
- Demonstrated ability to work with technology teams to implement business solutions
- A continuous improvement, growth and experimentation mindset
- Experienced in copyright licensing in desirable, but not essential
