Due to renewed demand from advertisers post-covid, our client has a vacancy on its advertising sales team.
About the role
The objective of the Account Manager role is to hit and exceed revenue targets - this is an outbound, proactive advertising sales role, key duties include:
- Selling to active/inactive clients - communicating the value of our client’s media through telephone conversations and in-person/virtual meetings
- Prospecting for new clients - competitor analysis and keeping abreast of industry developments
- Sales strategy - client analysis, pitch development, trade marketing, content idea development
- Sales administration - proposals, booking forms, sales deck creation, ad material, content team liaison
- Reporting - current bookings, forecasts and progress-to-target reports
This role is ideal for an experienced Media Sales professional looking for greater WFH flexibility or a sales coordinator / account executive looking to take the next career step.
Skills
- Core sales skills - prospecting, pitching, objection handling, proposals, sales documentation, client servicing
- Communication skills - articulate, persuasive and memorable with excellent written communication skills
- Technology skills - Google Workspace cloud environment, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, Canva, CRM (ie, Salesforce), EMS (ie, MailChimp)
- Corporate sales, preferably advertising sales experience selling to clients direct and to their agencies
- Exposure to the consumer electronics, entertainment, FMCG, gaming, health & wellness, men’s fashion & accessories, motor vehicles, music or toy industries would be an advantage
- Enthusiastic, outgoing, energetic and likeable with a positive mindset and a can-do attitude
- Social people person who loves talking to clients and suggesting ways you can help
- Honest, reliable and dependable with high integrity
- Team player who is prepared to do the dirty jobs
