JOB DESCRIPTIONBased in Brisbane, the role of Account Manager is hands-on focused on driving sales by understanding the prospective customer’s core business requirements and responsible for the effective planning and execution of strategic sales and business development objectives to ensure sustainable revenue growth by overserving the current customer base and creating new customer acquisitions.A technology innovator, custom manufacturer, and electrical systems troubleshooter for heavy industry, the company designs, engineers, produces, and services industrial power systems and control systems.   • Build and maintain strong customer relationships in existing and new accounts within the Mining, Mineral & Heavy Industries, through multi-level planned contact with a mix of both technical and commercial acumen.
  • Engage with customers through face-to-face visits, technical discussions and online meetings to understand what drives and helps customers gain process improvement with technology and the evolving supply chain.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets for system sales and related products and services
  • Drive sales through new business prospecting and new market share to maximise revenue objectives with focus on profitability and cashflow.
  • Effectively plan and execute sales and business development strategy and deploy action plans to achieve sustainable growth and budget goals.
  • Qualifying prospects which are a good long term fit for our solutions and our people
  • Coordinate and deliver pre-sales presentations and product demonstrations
  • Utilise customer-centric approach to understand needs and align our solution accordingly, when supporting current business and actively prospecting or pursuing opportunities.
  • Identify prospective customer challenges, industry knowledge and competitor threats
  • Prepare and deliver accurate and compelling proposals by understanding costing that offers best value to customer and the company.
  • Effectively articulate value and negotiate commercials to close complex solution sales
  • Report sales plans and forecast accurately and timely into CRM systems to provide insights on customer perspective, funnel management, current/future projects and competitor activities.
QUALIFICATIONSEssential
  • Relevant trade cert or degree in Science, Engineering or Technology with proven track record as a client-facing business development executive or sales engineer within the Mining, Mineral & Heavy Industries.
  • Minimum 5 years mechanical/electrical/mechatronic/automation/maintenance experience and comfortability engaging with customers in person, on phone, over email/Teams, etc.
  • Commercially astute to develop / achieve business development plans and targets.
  • Resourceful, self-driven go-getter, results-oriented with ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Ability to identify areas of potential market growth and work collaboratively with colleagues to implement plans for a focused pipeline of current and prospective opportunities through existing solutions, new product development or adjacent synergies.
Desirable
  • Thinks holistically through the buying and selling processes and uses tools and metrics to optimise sales and funnel activities.
  • Business acumen with ability to form and maintain relationships at field and corporate levels
  • Strong understanding of industry trends, market forces, and customer expectations.
  • Knowledge of competitor products and go to market strategies.
