Accountant

Midland City are seeking a talented and experienced Dealership Accountant to contribute to our continued success and growth.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, statements, and forecasts for management review.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and internal policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular audits to maintain the integrity of financial data and safeguard assets.
• Manage the month end accounting process including posting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of monthly financial accounts
• Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to proactively address challenges and opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
• Proven experience as an accountant in the automotive industry, dealership experience highly desirable.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and ability to interpret financial data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of dealership operations, inventory management, and financial regulations is a plus.
