Location: Gungahlin, ACT, 2912

Salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 per annum

Role: Full-time

Key responsibilities include:

·         Preparing of financial statements including monthly reporting and P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements.

·         Assist clients in preparation of tax planning and preparation of BAS, tax returns.

·         Creating financial budgets for clients to plan for future expenses and revenue and forecasting financial performance.

·         Providing guidance on business structure, expansion strategies, cash flow enhancement, and skill development for businesses.

·         Performing financial investigations, generating reports, and advising on issues such as company formation, superannuation and taxation.

·         Navigating superannuation fund complexities and assisting compliant establishment of self-managed superannuation funds for clients.

·         Managing and executing compliance requirements and other regulatory obligations.

·         Meeting deadlines related to financial reporting and providing assurance about the accuracy of data in financial reports.

·         Regularly reviewing accounting management systems and making updates and improvements, wherever required

·         Providing financial data and insights to agency management to support strategic decision-making.

·         Liaising with the ATO and other regulatory bodies in relation to client’s tax issues

·         Advise on investment planning

Requirements:

·         Atleast tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance

·         Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an accountant

·         Strong knowledge of Australian Accounting standards

·         Solid understanding of key accounting concepts

·         Proficient in Xero

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·         Analytical mindset

·         Strong MS Excel and Word skills

·         Attention to detail
