AddressStep into this key role as an Accountant at Tyrecycle, where you'll contribute to the efficient operation of our finance department. Utilise your skills in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI to support day-to-day accounting and administration tasks, including month-end processes, financial reporting, and compliance documentation. Your strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or collaboratively will drive success in this role.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist in day-to-day accounting and administration tasks.
- Support month-end tasks, including preparing accruals and posting journals.
- Aid in financial reporting and compliance documentation.
- Assist with Business Activity Statement preparation.
- Help maintain internal controls and address audit actions.
- Conduct regular account reconciliations.
- Collaborate with the Administration Team for accurate invoicing processing.
- Undertake additional duties or projects as directed.
Preferred skills and attributes include:
- Minimum one year experience in a similar financial or accounting role, preferably as an Accountant.
- Experience within similar industrial environments.
- Proficiency in using an ERP system, with preference for Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power BI for data analysis.
- Skill and experience in preparation of budgets, financial and management reports, variance analysis, and data analysis, particularly in high volume data settings.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organisational abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Working knowledge of quality systems and audit processes.
