Role Outline:
- Generate regular financial and operational reports to support management with fiscal projections and budget allocations.
- Create regular reports detailing costs related to personnel, equipment, vehicles, travel, and overhead to support executive decision-making.
- Manage the general ledger, including balance sheet reviews, banking transactions, and reconciliations.
- Supervise and train junior accounting staff in Accounts Payable and Receivable.
- Conduct precise reconciliations for accurate reporting and compliance with BAS and tax filings.
- Formulate and implement strict internal protocols that comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors to maintain financial integrity and make necessary journal adjustments.
- Enhance and tailor the accounting software, XERO, to align with the changing needs of the business.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in financial reporting and modelling tools such as XERO, Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Solver is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information in an understandable manner.
- Collaborative team player with a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Exceptional time management and prioritization skills.
