The Organisation:
With a long standing positive reputation in the local community, this not for profit, welfare organisation provides services that includes Residential Aged Care, Home & Community, Day Care programs and Respite Care.
The role:
- The Accountant will report directly to the CEO and have direct responsibiity for a small accounts/finance team consisting of AR, AP and Payroll Officers and be responsible for:
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports,
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS,
- EOY balance sheet reconcilations,
- Preparationof annual accommodation Bond Register reporting
- Maintenance of legal compliance calendar
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Register
- Oversee payroll and co-ordinate payroll process for annual salary & EBA reviews
- Monitor cash flow
- Performing supplier and expense reviews
- Business systems and Technology reviews
Key Selection Criteria:
- Finance, accounting or economics bachelor level degree and membership of Australian Accounting body
- Previous accounting experience in a healthcare setting such as aged care or home and community care
- Proficiency in financial/accounting software and statistical modelling tools
- High attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Current NDIS workers screening check
- Current Police check
- Proof of Influenza and Covid vaccinations
