About the Position
This position provides leadership and oversight to the Statutory Planning team, ensuring a professional, customer focused and legislatively compliant planning service to Council, community members, internal and external stakeholders. The role provides high level support to the Manager Statutory Planning and Compliance including processing and assessing complex planning applications. This is a permanent, full time position.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in statutory town planning with the demonstrated ability to interpret and apply the relevant legislation, in particular the Residential Design Codes. You will be experienced in leading and supervising staff to successfully negotiate and deliver good outcomes for both the community and the City. Experience with the State Administrative Tribunal will be highly advantageous.
Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or a related relevant discipline is essential.
