The College is seeking to appoint an Accountant to work as part of a high performing and customer centric finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this newly created role will play a key role in the function of the Finance Department, ensuring that the financial operations of the PAC group of entities are managed well.
Accountabilities will include:
- Financial reporting and management accounting tasks;
- Preparation and delivery of the College’s fortnightly payroll file;
- Month and year end financial reporting;
- GST and FBT compliance;
- ACNC and Commonwealth and State Government Funding Reporting;
- PAC Foundation and other entity accounting;
- Assistance with the management of the College’s insurance program; and
- Assisting with the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and the Purchasing and Procurement functions of the College.
To be successful in this position you will need to have comprehensive financial experience, including demonstrated payroll experience within a medium to large organisation and a desire to be involved in a broad scope of financial matters across the College. You will also have the necessary people skills required to develop solid professional relationships with a number of stakeholders and an ability to work closely with College leaders, teachers and operational staff to understand their business needs. We are seeking a highly motivated professional who is eager to become part of a growing team, confident to challenge the status quo and use their financial expertise to deliver innovative solutions focused on process efficiencies.
The Accountant position is a full-time permanent role, based at our Kent Town campus.
