About the Role…
We are currently looking for an Accountant to join the Finance & Administration team. This role will be responsible for managing the accounting and reporting processes for Corporate and assisting the Financial Controller in the maintenance of the general ledger and fulfilling statutory requirements.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Analyse and explain budget vs actual variances for business units
• Prepare monthly forecasts, annual budgets and reports
• Ensure prompt and accurate invoicing and recovery of recoverable costs
• Proactively manage bank cash balances and optimize cash investments
• Prepare standing journals, monthly journals, and accruals
• Manage the annual budget process and conduct internal audits
• Reconcile GL accounts and contribute to year-end reporting and audit processes
• Manage daily revenue takings during the Sydney Royal Easter Show
• Prepare annual FBT returns and review monthly BAS returns
• Assist in the delivery of financial duties for on-site events
• Other duties as may reasonably be given

About you…

• Completed tertiary education in Accounting and completed or near completion of CPA or CA
• 4 years’ experience in a similar role
• Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills
• Commercial accounting software experience (experience in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and Momentus would be highly regarded)
• Have strong analytic and problem solving skills
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Have strong focus on providing excellent service to internal and external clients, with the ability to address issues and requests promptly
• Be legally entitled to live & work in Australia.
