Job description:
Key Accountabilities will include:
- Assisting with month-end reporting and analysis, including key responsibilities of reconciling intercompany from a group perspective and liaising with the key stakeholders in the business to resolve any intercompany balance mismatches.
- Assisting in the preparation of annual consolidated financial statements and half-year financial reporting requirements.
- Coordinating external and internal audits.
- Assisting with the development of accounting policies and procedures.
- Assisting in drafting the technical accounting papers, having researched all technical accounting matters, including compliance with Accounting Standards.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders and key contacts in relation to various accounting matters.
- Undertaking financial analysis where required to understand key movements across the group.
- Understanding and providing information for the responses to the ABS surveys.
- Conducting ad-hoc finance tasks and projects as required.
Profile description:
Key skills and experience required for you to thrive in this role, will include:
- A Tertiary accounting qualification.
- CA/CPA qualified.
- Prior audit experience would be beneficial. Ideally, 2-3 years of demonstrated accounting experience in big four accounting firms or up to 3 years' experience in Corporate or Group accounting roles with demonstrated technical accounting skills and analytical skills.
- Hands-on experience in accounting and reporting for multinational/multicurrency operations and complex intercompany reconciliations is preferred, though not essential.
- Previous exposure to SAP and/or Pronto is desirable, though not essential.
- Experience with using Workiva for financial statement preparation is desirable, though not essential.
- A keen eye for detail and a meticulous approach to work.
- Good communication and presentation skills and the ability to communicate to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficient cashflow preparation and understanding skills.
- Proven problem-solving skills.
- Proficient use of Excel (mid to high level proficiency).
- TM1 experience is preferred, though not essential.
- Previous consolidation system implementation experience will be highly valued.
