SalaryEdward Mann are recruiting for a Christian-faith organisation in Mitchelton, QLD.
They are looking for an Accountant to work closely with the Finance Director to act as a senior member of the finance team. This role will play a key role in financial reporting schedules and business partner with various stakeholders across the organisation.
It is a permanent position, paying up to 95k + Super.
Onsite parking provided and flexible working environment, typically a 4-1 split.
Responsibilities:
- Complete month end accounting tasks, including reconciliations and processing end-of-month adjustments and journals, ensuring all transactions are compliant and completed in a timely fashion.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, including liaising with department heads.
- Analyse financial data and provide insights to management.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Review payroll reporting completed by internal team.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial records.
- Assist with tax preparation and filing (quarterly BAS and annual FBT returns).
- Assist with the audit preparation and liaise with auditors.
- Assist in process improvement projects.
