Position Title: Accountant

Alloggio (Hotels, Pty Limited and Management)

Salary: $70 000 plus superannuation

Alloggio is a leading operator of short-term rentals accommodation in Australia. They are looking for an experienced Accountant to join their team. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Newcastle, NSW.

The accountant will be responsible for the following duties:

• Conducting Financial Reporting procedures to compile monthly management reports. 
• Oversight of business accounting and reporting, implementing robust internal controls, process automation, and adherence to corporate governance standards.
• Management of the logistical business
• Execution of Balance Sheet and Bank Reconciliations, along with the preparation of variance analysis reports on costs and revenue streams
• Supervision of the Trust team's function, responsible for managing owner funds and guest transactions
• Preparation of periodic tax reporting including BAS on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Liaison with ATO, and other third parties such as bankers and lenders regarding taxation and administrative matters
• Manage Financial software and the effective use of the organisations E-Systems including ZoHo ecosystem.
• Preparation of quarterly budgets and integration to financial reporting processes
• Ensure all end of financial year Reports and Audit Documents are correct and available.

For this position it is expected that you would possess the following qualifications/work experience:

Experience

• Solid financial accounting experience with preferably at least 3 years of experience in delivering quality and timely month end reporting.
• Degree qualified in accounting
• CPA holder or currently studying towards CPA. 
• Excellent technical knowledge across all relevant legislations
• Excellent systems experience (e.g. Xero, RMS, Homhero, Magnify, Zoho)
• Competent user of Microsoft office
