ROLE OVERVIEW:
As an Accountant at Sugo tu, you will play a crucial role in managing the company's financial operations. You will work closely with the management team, including founder Robert van den Bergh and his wife Nikki, to ensure the company's financial health and stability. Your responsibilities will include financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting operations, supporting the company's growth and success.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, providing insights and recommendations to the management team.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the management team to create annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against budgets and making recommendations for improvements.
- Accounting Operations: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations, as well as prepare and file necessary tax returns.
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and prevent fraud.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, including cost analysis, pricing strategies, and profitability assessments.
- Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems, streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency.
REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CA certification preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
