Accountant

We are seeking a qualified accountant in a pivotal role within our finance team. The successful candidate will have experience working with weekly financials , month end and performing a high volume of transactions for reporting. 

Key Responsibilities include ;

• Prepare weekly gross margin reports and month end financials
• Update daily banking spreadsheet to track transactions accurately 
• Allocate weekly salaries and wages costs appropriately 
• Prepare and post general journals to ensure accurate accounting records
• Maintain asset register, depreciation schedules and reconciliations.
• Execute quarterly BAS (Business Activity Statement ) 
• Perform end of year reconciliations and assist with financial audits 
• Handle other accounting duties as required by the company

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• Proven experience in a similar role of 3 years or greater
• Expertise in MS excel and other accounting software 
• Strong attention to detail and organisation skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
• Excellent teamwork and communication
