Westrac are currently looking for an Accountant to join the Finance Operations Team! This team provide accounting support to the two CAT Dealerships in the areas of inventory (parts and machines), warranty, and fixed assets.
The Accountant will be principally involved in providing accounting support in the area of Parts Inventory (including new/used parts and parts exchange) to ensure the accurate recognition and reporting of Parts Inventory in SAP, including providing support to financial reconciliation processes.
The role will entail detailed review of transactions within WesTrac's inhouse inventory management system and ensuring these transactions are recorded properly within SAP. The role will also entail engagement with operations team members to review and validate parts/parts exchange transactions (additions, disposals, movements, etc) to support analysis of closing inventory balances quantity and valuation to ensure SAP correctly reflects the actual carrying value of Parts Inventory.
The Accountant will perform other general accounting tasks for other transactional processes managed by the Finance Operations Team as required by the Accounting Lead - Parts and the Finance Operations Manager.

To be successful the following is required:
- Bachelor Degree within Accountancy or equivalent business related degree, CA/CPA qualification
- Previous accounting experience, with some of which being within in a large complex organisation.
- Experience with inventory accounting will be highly regarded
- External / internal audit experience
- SAP experience
- Power BI experience is considered highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to logically problem solve differences between multiple (high volume) source systems
- System implementation or improvement experience
- Advanced computer literacy skills
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal), including consultation, negotiation and facilitation skills to effectively liaise with both internal and external stakeholders)
- Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet objectives
