Navigate Financial Group is a financial advisory company with Offices in Sydney CBD, Manly, Chatswood and Brighton Le-Sands; Navigate provides specialist advice in Superannuation, Retirement Planning, Self-Managed Superannuation Funds, Insurance, Loans, Tax Planning, Estate Planning and Aged Care. The Role
The accountant is a Full-Time position to handle our Manly branch office’s accounting activities. The accountant in our company is responsible for Navigate Manly’s end-of-month financials and management reporting, providing accounting policies advice and backup for accounts payable, accounts receivable and other financial processes to meet our office’s needs.
Your duties and responsibilities include:
- Working closely with Navigate management, managing accounting affairs in a timely and professional manner.
- Assisting formation of our financial advice internally.
- Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies for Navigate, tailored by our financial planning, meeting our interests and needs.
- Preparation of end-of-month Management Accounts, reporting to directors and financial advisors.
- Processing of accruals, prepayment, and subsequent journals.
- Monitoring and maintaining accounting system and internal control system for Navigate.
- Reconciliations including Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, General Ledger, and Balance Sheet.
- Reconciling foreign currency payments if required.
- Supporting for the review and calculation of cash flows.
- Other ad hoc accounting duties to support the team.
Qualifications
- Australian Bachelor’s / Master`s degree, major in Accounting.
- Knowledge in Investments and Finances is desirable.
- Strong MYOB, Xero and Class skills, with 2+ experience in this role.
- Must be professional, confident, and ambitious with the ability to use initiative to get the job done quickly whilst maintain a high standard.
- Strong team-work ability.
- Strong communication skills (English verbal and written).
- Experience in managing multiple priorities and administrative coordination.
- Salary for the position: Negotiable.
