The Opportunity:
Hooper Accountants currently have a fantastic opportunity for a talented Accountant to join our growing Team on a full-time or part-time basis.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with an experienced, committed team focused on delivering exceptional service to both established and emerging clients. This is an important role which will provide tax, accounting and business advisory services.
Key responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a diverse range of duties including but not limited to the following:
- Apply professional accounting, financial and taxation knowledge in the development and maintenance of client affairs
- Provide exceptional service to clients through relationship management and effective communication;
- Prepare tax returns, financial statements, BAS and IAS for all entity types;
- Provide knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements and ensure compliance is maintained;
- Liaising with the ATO;
- Helping to identify, research and resolve all complex accounting issues;
Relevant experience/qualifications:
To be successful in your application and this role, you will need:
- Bachelor of Business / Commerce Degree with Accounting Major
- CPA or CA qualification or looking to complete (preferred but not essential);
- Relevant experience in a similar role;
- Demonstrated knowledge of Australian taxation law;
- Willingness to develop and learn new skills;
- Comprehensive computer skills including knowledge of various accounting software;
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
