The Opportunity
We have a sweet opportunity for an Accountant/Analyst to join our team.
The role involves supporting the record to report end-to-end process, including general ledger accounting, month-end close and monthly financial reporting as well as supporting the sales, marketing, category and finance teams to coordinate all aspect of trade spend accounting, governance and data analysis/reporting to support business decision making.
The Role
- Assist the preparation of monthly financial reports, including balance sheet profit and loss and cash-flow statements
- Preparation of financial analysis to support the Finance Director
- Support the month-end close process, including sub-ledger close, journal posting (accruals, prepayments etc.) and reconciliations
- Account for and report on trade spend balances and effectiveness
- Support the implementation of trade spend optimisation initiatives, including price, mix and margin
- Support relevant teams with P&L Analysis of New Product Development and facilitate informed decision making.
- Working within the finance function to partner with the cross functional teams across the business to enhance reporting capabilities and influence revenue management outcomes
- Other ad hoc projects as needed
About you
Our ideal candidate will possess:
- Financial accounting base and with some experience/exposure to pricing
- Previous experience within a commercial organisation
- Inquisitive and energetic nature
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong drive to business partner
- Strong modelling skills using Excel a must
- Experience using Power BI an advantage
- Experience using Microsoft D365 an advantage.
