St Mary’s Villa is a high-quality residential aged care facility operated by St Mary’s Catholic Parish at Concord.
We are looking for an Accounts Administrator to join the team at St Mary’s Villa. This role will be responsible for coordinating and managing the accounts for St Mary’s Villa in partnership with our outsourced provider. The Accounts Administrator is responsible for ensuring efficient information flow and provision of documents to enable the outsourced provider to complete accounting transactions. The role is also the first point of contact for all queries relating to finance and accounts.
Responsibilities
In your new role you will:
- Manage and coordinate the relationship with our outsourced provider
- Answer queries and provide support to residents and their families about St Mary’s fees and services
- Ensuring account and billing for resident admission and discharge occurs within regulatory requirements
- Monthly billing and invoicing for residents
- Ensure estate settlements are processed as required by regulation
- Management of different lines of revenue with our outsourced provided
- Management of petty cash and disbursements
- Follow up outstanding or overdue invoices and bills
- Ensure all invoices are uploaded for weekly payment runs to our outsourced provider
- Monitor banking transaction and accounts
- Undertake banking as required
- Assist with financial and accounting activities with the CEO and outsourced provider
- Act as a backup/additional support for payroll processing (also outsourced)
- Ensure funds are released to allow payments of wages and invoices and similar
- Ad-hoc duties as requested
Qualification, skills and experience
- Experience in finance or accounting administration or related discipline
- Proven experience in numeracy, accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to priorities and work independently as well as within a team
- Good interpersonal, customer service and communication skills
- A pleasant, approachable and helpful manner
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure
- Accurate and proficient keyboard skills
- Highly competent in a range of computer applications
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Experience in MYOB is desirable
- Demonstrate commitment to Christian values
