Assistant Accountant/Accountant
The Role
Step up into a newly created Assistant Accountant/Accountant role and be the finance subject matter expert for BGIS and the client. The role is within growth sector, Government Social Housing. The role has a solid line reporting relationship to the General Manager of Finance and Commercial Client Services, and a dotted line reporting relationship to the client Account Director.
Using a flexible and adaptable approach the responsibilities include:
- Assist in financial end to end responsibilities - End of Month, Forecasts Budgets, & Reporting
- Client Billing, vendor payment process
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Reconciliations
- WHS&E policies and procedures are met and maintained by all stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of AR & AP operations
- Sound experience in Finance admin/Accounting and analytics.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in managing high volume activity/processing.
- Effective communication skills with internal and external customers
- Demonstrated proficiency in Excel, Word, and Power BI
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in business, accounting, or finance
- Working towards CA or CPA qualified
