ABOUT THE ROLE
CEHL is focused on creating positive housing outcomes for our partner housing co-operatives, co-op members and renters. We are looking for an Accounts Assistant in a fixed-term, full-time position (until June 2025) to join the Corporate Finance Team - key accountabilities will include (but are not limited to):
- Ensuring accounts payable and receivable processes are undertaken accurately, in a timely manner and in accordance with CEHL operational procedures. This include:
- Setting up new Suppliers
- Processing supplier payments
- Dealing with accounts payable enquiries
- Receipting invoices & processing payment collections
- Processing credit card transactions
- Maintenance of the fixed assets, prepayments, and accruals schedules
- Reconciling accounts payable
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The role will ideally suit an experienced Accounts Assistant with a positive can-do attitude. The successful candidate will be able to problem solve, have a proactive work ethic coupled with the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
- At least 2 years proven experience in a similar role with a strong grasp of accounts payable and accounting processes.
- Verbal and written communication skills appropriate for stakeholders with varying degrees of financial knowledge and understanding.
- Ability to quickly establish rapport and build effective relationships with a broad variety of stakeholders.
- Microsoft Office and an accounting software package.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines while remaining calm under pressure.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a productive team member.
