We are currently accepting applications for an Accounts Assistant who is detailed orientated, passionate about numbers and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment to join our team.
This is a permanent part time position, five (5) days per week, five (5) hours per day.
Main responsibilities are but not limited to:
- Support duties related to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Reviewing and entering daily trading sales into MYOB
- Assist with preparation of financial reports.
- Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
- Enter financial transactions into internal databases.
- Check spreadsheets for accuracy.
- Maintain digital and physical financial records.
- Create and update expense reports.
- Process reimbursement forms
- Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries.
- Ensure payments, amounts and records are correct.
- Daily Bank reconciliation.
- Issue invoices to customers and external partners, as needed.
- Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries.
- Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
- Controlling credit and chasing debt.
- Liaising with third party providers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial data
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.
- Participate in annual audits.
About you:
- Experience working in a similar role.
- Experience with MYOB or a similar accounting system
- Collaborative skills, with the demonstrated ability to contribute significantly and productively and working effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to multitask.
- Time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
- Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail including accuracy in data entry.
- High level of customer service to all stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise tasks within a busy environment.
- Ability to deal with multiple databases.
