We are looking for an enthusiastic Accounts Assistant to join our awesome H&K Sydney finance team to provide general accounting support to ensure up-to-date accurate information is available to manage the Australian & New Zealand businesses. Based at our offices in Wetherill Park, with a flexible work from home policy, and reporting to the Financial Controller, this role will provide the successful candidate with a terrific opportunity and excellent accounting exposure. This is an entry level position and isideal for soon to graduate accounting students or recent accounting graduates as training will be provided.                

Responsibilities will initially include AR management, preparation of BAS & New Zealand GST returns, bank & balance sheet reconciliations, maintenance of fixed asset register, preparation of local and international fund transfers, and KPI reporting.  In-house and on line training is provided to the successful applicant.

With a strong aptitude and interest in all things finance and excellent skills with the Microsoft Office suite of products, the ideal candidate will:

• Enjoy helping others, with a positive attitude and be prepared to "roll up your sleeves " when the need arises
• Be highly motivated by data and financial information processing
• Analyse numbers intuitively (you usually identify numbers that are not correct)
• Be a quick learner and understand complex information without difficulty
• Possess an above average vocabulary, and communicate effectively regardless of the audience
• Be adaptable and able to work in a fast paced and forward thinking environment
