The role
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant to join our rapidly expanding food retail franchise business. This role is key to managing our financial operations and payroll system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our financial processes.

What will your workday look like?
- Conducting bank and credit card reconciliations across various entities, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance.
- Efficiently managing the accounts email inbox, promptly addressing queries and maintaining organized communication.
- Preparing and supervising weekly accounts payable and receivable processes for multiple entities, fostering timely financial transactions.
- Playing a crucial role in cost-tracking for our retail outlets, aiding in financial planning and budgetary control.
- Ensuring accurate allocation of Account Payable invoices to the correct codes for optimal financial management.
- Streamlining the supplier registration process in our system, ensuring a robust and efficient supply chain.
- Assisting with end-of-month financial reporting, journal entries, and managing inventory system queries.
- Undertaking general office administrative duties and ensuring prompt responses to both internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2-3 years experience in an accounts or payroll role.
- Communication Skills
- High accuracy and attention to detail in handling financial data.
- Familiarity with financial systems, we use Xero and previous experience with it is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate across departments.
- Flexibility to adapt in a dynamic work environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial and employee information.
- Skilled in using Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookup functions, and intermediate formulas.
