Clothier Anderson Immigration Lawyers is a medium-sized immigration law firm located on the city fringe in Carlton. We provide high quality specialist immigration and refugee law advice and advocacy.
An opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Clerk to join our firm. This role will involve providing quality accounting and administrative assistance. To be successful in this busy role, you will have excellent time management and organisational skills, strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ideally, you will be familiar with lawyer’s trust accounts including an electronic billing and file management system (preferably Affinity) and past experience in a legal support position within a legal environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Generating client invoices and drafting standard cover emails
- Reviewing files for trust balances
- Following up client payments, including regular payment plans
- Arranging refunds
- Answering client queries regarding bills and payments
- File management, including compiling weekly WIP and debtors reports
- Entering disbursements and credit card payments into Affinity
- Following up IT support (i.e. problems with computers, logins etc.)
- Answering and directing incoming calls (third point) and booking appointments
- Providing administrative support to lawyers and administrative staff as required
- Other administrative tasks, as required
The position is a full-time in-office role, with the possibility of hybrid working in the future. The salary will be commensurate with experience.
