The Opportunity
The Accounts Clerk / Credit Controller will assist the Finance Department in their day-to-day tasks including maintenance of the debtor ledger and assisting with the creditor ledger. This role will be tasked with the responsibility of recovering money owed to the company by customers of the organisation. The credit function of this role will be integral to the Finance Team, ensuring invoices are paid in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
- Daily debtor collection calls and emails.
- Set up, document, and manage payment plans.
- Assess credit applications and set up new accounts.
- Produce reports as required, including monthly aged debtor reports.
- Liaise with other departments internally as required – including sales and customer service.
Accounts Payable
- Credit card reconciliations.
- Perform vendor verifications.
- Support Accounts Payable with processing of invoices.
- Set up new supplier accounts in ERP system.
About you
The successful applicant will have:
- A minimum of 3+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics BC and Document Capture (preferred).
- Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting and bookkeeping.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to confidently work autonomously as well as in a team environment.
