Accounts Clerk Perth
- Full time Fixed Term 12 months based in Perth
- Up to $80,000 p/a + Superannuation + 5 weeks annual leave + allowances

We provide programs and services for the personal, social and economic wellbeing of our members and deliver support and programs in health, education, housing, culture, enterprise development and employment. IBN’s head office is in South Hedland, Western Australia, approximately 350 kilometers north of the Mining Area C Project and we also have offices in Tom Price, Karratha and the recently established Perth office.
We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Clerk as part of the Perth based Finance Team, this role supports the financial sustainability of the IBN Group by processing end-to-end accounts payable, processing of accounts receivable, processing of bank statements and credit cards. IBN is currently in the process of developing and implementing Netsuite and Employment Hero as an ERP and Payroll HR solution, moving away from MYOB (exo).
The Role:
Core responsibilities of this role include and are not limited:
- Processing Bank Accounts
- Code and process transactions into the accounting system account daily
- Prepare a daily reconciliation for all accounts for review daily
- Process and reconcile all term deposits and other bank accounts.
- Perform Monthly checks and reconciliations as required
- Creditor Processing
- Date stamp all creditor invoices received
- File all invoices as directed
- Input & code invoices once approval
- Reconcile all vendor statements
- Submission of reconciled payments to the Assistant accountant / Group Accountant for payment approval
- Payment of all Vendor Accounts within terms and payment run schedules
- Credit Card Reconciliation and Payment
- Process and Reconcile Credit Card Transactions
- Ensure purchases are within company policy
- Accounts Receivable
- All ad-hoc invoicing as required
- Follow up all outstandings as required
- Perform monthly reconciliation of all outstanding amounts
Other
- Manage all inbound Mail and Emails (internal and external)
- Covering for other Accounts Clerks when absent
- Booking of all flights & accommodation as required.
- Office Management, including ordering stationary and equipment as required.
- Meet all reporting and payment deadlines and expectations.
- All filing to be completed daily as directed.
- Assist with month-end processes, including reporting, and reconciliation.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of WHS and risk management initiatives and practices in the work place.
- Other administrative tasks and duties as required.
The Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Bookkeeping and Accounting highly desirable.
- Experience using ERP solutions NetSuite and MYOB (exo) desirable
- 2 to 3 years of working experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- An ability to problems solve, and Process Ownership.
- Excellent time management skills and strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic, with effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people
- Experience working with Aboriginal people, Aboriginal Corporations and an understanding of Australian culture would be highly regarded
