Accounts Officer

The Opportunity: 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accountants Assistant to join an instantly recognisable cosmetics brand located in Sydney CBD. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting the Finance team's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date Accounts Receivable ledger.
• Process rebates, scan claims, and discounts on customer accounts.
• Collaborate with the Customer Service team to process E-commerce sales.
• Handle refunds, credits, and customer inquiries related to billing issues and returns.
• Assist sales Brokers in setting up customer accounts and addressing inquiries.
• Prepare and reconcile daily collections.
• Complete month-end reconciliations and reports.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Engage in ad hoc tasks, collaborating with the Finance Manager, Marketing, and Sales teams on reports and analyses as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar finance role.
• Professional demeanor with a proactive, can-do attitude.
• Ability to multitask effectively between daily tasks and projects, ensuring timely completion.
• Demonstrated success in working within fast-paced, autonomous environments with exceptional attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of fostering positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with NetSuite ERP is advantageous but not essential.
