Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain and update financial records accurately, ensuring all entries are up-to-date and compliant with relevant regulations.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and receipts, and manage accounts payable/receivable efficiently.
- Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations and reconcile discrepancies in financial records.
- Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
- Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant legislation.
- Expense Management: Monitor and control company expenses, ensuring cost-efficiency and adherence to budgets.
- Support: Assist the Finance Manager with ad-hoc financial tasks and projects as needed.
Profile
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Working Rights within Australia.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
