The Role
Axiom is currently seeking an Account Payable Officer to join our team. You will be responsible for Accounts Payable and as a back-up for payroll.
Your duties:
- Sort, code and match invoices and enter into the ERP system.
- Creating batch payments and preparation of electronic payment runs.
- Receipt of payments and generating remittance advices
- Account reconciliations
- Assisting with Creditor's enquiries
- Assist with month end reporting as well as any other ad hoc reporting requirements
- Back-up to payroll when Payroll Officer is absent
- Filing and maintaining of Supplier records
- Other ad hoc tasks as required
Skills & experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in an Accounts Payable role
- A solid understanding of GST
- Previous experience with a manufacturing ERP, Xero or MYOB preferred but not essential
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to build working relationships with Purchasing, Stores and Operations
- Previous experience within the manufacturing industry (desired but not essential)
- Experience with foreign exchange, inventory, freight/shipping highly regarded
