The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Accounts Payable Officer to join our Adelaide team. This is a full-time fixed term contract role, providing Maternity Leave cover until February 2025. You will be responsible for accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of Accounts Payable transactions.
Duties & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Financial Controller, your main responsibilities will include:
- Create and maintain Accounts Payable files in ERP system.
- Sort, code and match invoices, and enter into ERP system.
- Track expenses and process expense reports.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments, and perform payment runs.
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records.
- Generate and distribute remittance advices.
- Perform monthly account reconciliations.
- Assist with month end closing, and prepare monthly reports and journals as required.
- General office administration tasks as required.
About You
To be considered for this position you will ideally:
- Have 1-3 years’ experience in a similar position.
- Have experience with Pronto or equivalent ERP system.
- Have outstanding communication skills.
- Able to work in busy conditions, subject to tight timeframes and with competing demands.
- Previous experience working in mining / manufacturing industry (preferred).
