We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our team in Regents Park, this is a permanent full-time opportunity with a company interested in your growth, development, and success!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Entering invoices into the Accounts Payable system
• Prepare/reconcile all supplier statements for payment
• Filing and maintaining supplier records
• Checking and verifying invoices
• Searching creditor information, getting invoice approval
• Preparing cheques and creating EFT payment
• Strong end-to-end function of Accounts Payable
• Payments for shipments and payments to local and foreign suppliers
• Clearing invoice backlogs
• Import payments
• Credit card reconciliations
• Assist with Month-end reconciliation tasks and bank Journals
• Performing other ad hoc tasks as required by finance & accounting manager

Experience and Skills Required:

• 3 + years in a similar position
• Accounts Payable experience
• Professional written and oral communication skills
• Exceptional time management and able to solve problems
• Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel with strong data entry skills (pivot tables and V-lookup essential)
• Experience with NetSuite (Accounts payable system) preferable
