Northfleet are a market leading company in the crane, transport, bus and vehicle hire industry, supplying solutions to customers throughout the Southwest, Perth, Pilbara, and regional Western Australia.
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to administer supplier onboarding, processing and payment processes as well as assisting with general accounting functions.
As our Accounts Payable Officer your responsibilities will include:
- Onboarding and maintaining suppliers, verifying invoices, inputting invoices, obtaining approvals, processing payments, and attending to supplier queries.
- Administering the Eftsure supplier and payment verification process.
- Collation, reconciliation and processing of monthly batch accounts including credit card, fuel and travel accounts.
- Reconciliation of supplier statements.
- Assist in streamlining Accounts Payable processes and procedures and ensuring the finance function is efficient, accurate and continues to add value to the business.
- Assist the Finance team in other adhoc tasks adjacent to the Accounts Payable function, including maintaining a high level of service to all stakeholders across the business.
Key attributes to be successful in securing this role
- A minimum of 12 months experience in the role of Accounts Payable Officer, or other role in a Finance or Accounts department managing a large volume of transactions.
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable and general accounts procedures, including maintaining credit controls.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, confidently working as part of a team and communicating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
- Accurate data entry skills with high level of attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational, and time management skills with the ability to work within deadlines and effectively manage priorities.
- An intermediate level of proficiency across the MS Office suite of products. Demonstrable expert level usage of Excel will be highly regarded.
- Northfleet are in the process of consolidating multiple platforms to a single ERP. Experience with the implementation of such a platform will be highly regarded.
- Exposure to hire and logistics industries would be advantageous, though not a prerequisite.
