We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Finance team.
About the role:
The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for all supplier invoicing, payments and reconciliation across the Cadence & Co company. Reporting to the Accounts Manager, you will also work closely with the Financial Controller, the rest of the Finance Team and other members of the overall business in a friendly and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Ensure all purchase orders are approved
- Manage supplier invoices, credit note processing, and monthly creditor statements reconciliations
- Ensuring timely payment of supplier invoices through the weekly payment run
- Review and resolution of queries relating to Accounts Payable that are raised by suppliers
- Process transactions from credit cards
- Prepare weekly cost lists for projects
- Raise internal purchase orders
- Maintaining files and archiving documents as per company policy.
About you
- Two years’ experience in multi-company/divisional environment and understanding of intercompany transactions, with a construction background highly regarded
- Thorough understanding of job costings
- Experience working with accounting systems (Xero highly regarded)
- A professional approach, excellent attention to detail as well as strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to work in a fast paced environment and can manage competing priorities on a daily basis with minimal supervision.
