Founded by a group of parents seeking the best for their children, McCall Gardens opened its doors in Northwest Sydney and has been a proud non-for-profit organisation providing disability support services since the early 1950’s. McCall Gardens provide a broad range of services across the lifespan to individuals and their families. The focus is on making a positive difference in people’s lives by providing them with opportunities to maximise their potential.

The Opportunity

Sitting within the Senior Leadership Team and reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), the Accommodation Manager will provide leadership and guidance to a frontline team of 110 whilst directly managing five reports.

In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Managing the disability support teams to deliver ensure delivery of high quality for participants.
• Leading and encouraging teams to identify and implement strategies to ensure continuous improvement of service delivery.
• Sophisticated stakeholder management including liaising and meeting with community groups, participants, and their families.
• Manage risk and issues arising in the course of service delivery and alignment with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.

The Accommodation Manager is required to provide a high level of excellent customer service to their participants and families. A high level of interpersonal skills is required to manage organisational issues, negotiate individual service agreements and outcomes and develop and motivate staff. This role will be required to understand and implement staff management and personnel practices.

About You

For this appointment, McCall Gardens are seeking an experienced leader looking for the next step in their career. Candidates with the following experiences and skillsets are encouraged to apply:

• In-depth knowledge of the disability sector including NDIS funding and NDIS Quality and Safeguard Frameworks
• Experience in reviewing, implementing and approving Behaviour support plans containing restrictive practices.
• In-depth knowledge on trauma based investigation for incidents including restrictive practices
• Current Provisional or unrestricted Drivers Licence
• First Aid Certificate
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• NDIS Worker Screening Check
• The Right to Work in Australia
• COVID-19 Vaccination Certification
