About your role
We are recruiting for an Accounts Payable (AP) Officer who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the AP Function and ensuring the timely payment of payments to vendors and managing the invoice recording, reporting and approval process.
What you'll do
- Act as the initial point for both Vendor, Procurement Team and Site queries.
- Prioritise workload to ensure critical tasks are completed.
- Recognise and communicate potential issues/risks with team.
- Focus on accuracy and timeliness in processes.
- Adhere to policies and procedures and understand the risks associated with non-compliance.
- Participate in Risk Management activities where relevant.
- Resolve Accounts Payable outstanding issues.
- Keep Vendor Ledgers up to date and ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner.
- Collect data and prepare monthly metrics
What will help you succeed
- Excellent stakeholder management, ability to deal with multiple stakeholders and handle competing priorities.
- Demonstrated problem solving capability.
- Sound knowledge across the Microsoft office suite and proficient in Excel including creation of Pivots, Vlookup functions
- Knowledge of Accounts Payable
- Knowledge of office administration and procedures
- Basic understanding of general accounting principles
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements
- Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in Accounts Payable
- Shared services experience preferable
- Experience in implementation of systems &/or process changes, including Shared Service automation process will be of advantage.
- Experience in QAD or exposure to ERP systems preferable
