Accounts Payable Officer

Purpose

As our Accounts Payable Officer, you will be the unsung hero of the Finance Department.

Your mission: to provide essential administrative and clerical support to our Shared Services Accounts Payable Team, playing a fundamental role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial transactions and record-keeping.

Primary Responsibilities

• Accurately enter financial data into accounting systems or spreadsheets
• Help manage ledgers and journals, categorise transactions, and ensure that financial data is well-organised and accessible
• Reconcile bank statements with financial records to identify and resolve discrepancies
• Assist in tracking and categorising expenses
• Provide administrative support to the finance department

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience within Accounts Payable with strong analytical and numerical skills
• Thrives in a high volume invoicing environment
• Deep understanding and confidant in using Microsoft Excel
• Masters the art of excellent verbal and written communication, with a keen attention to detail
• Effective time management abilities, to handle workload and meet strict deadlines
