Accounts Payable Officer

Perks People Solutions have partnered with Exact Contracting to recruit their next Accounts Payable Officer. Exact Contracting was established in 1992 and has a reputable history in Civil, Mining and Agriculture industries built on years of experience providing high quality services to a range of clients. Today, Exact Contracting employs over 500 people nationally and is highly regarded for its capability to deliver safe and innovative quality services and products to its customers. An opportunity now exists for an Accounts Payable Officer to join their close-knit team on a permanent, full-time basis. 
 
The Role
Your duties will include:

• Performing end-to-end Accounts Payable
• Matching, coding, processing, and scheduling payment of invoices
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Respond to AP requests
• Communicate effectively with internal requestors, external suppliers and the Finance team
• Liaising with operational colleagues on AP and Purchase Order issues
• General ledger reconciliations
• Assisting with process improvement tasks across the function
• Ad hoc support to the Finance team

 
About You
 
To fulfill the requirements of this role you will be a professional, enthusiastic individual with attention to detail and a high level of commitment to customer service and delivering results. In addition to this, you will have:

• Prior experience in Accounts Payable
• Working knowledge of Sage Intacct (advantageous)
• Experience with high volumes of invoicing
• Experience in general ledger reconciliations
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
• Proficient computer skills; including basic Microsoft Excel
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• High level of motivation and initiative
