Our client is a multi-billion, international T1 property developer mainly focussing on residential projects in Australia. The Brisbane office is fairly new and have projects in the pipeline for the next 7 years. With 15 staff currently, the business is projected to grow to about 60 within the next 12 months. Reporting to the Finance Manager, they are seeking an experienced Accounts & Payroll Officer to join their team.
Having a strong construction background, this role will see you taking the lead and managing payroll, as well as assist with the accounts payable function of the business!
The Role
- Working autonomously, you will be managing end-to-end payroll functions.
- Managing payroll transactions - group tax, payroll and superannuation
- Payroll reporting, analysis and compliance
- Excellent knowledge of working in blue and white collar payroll - working with various awards and EBAs
- Keeping track of all payments and expenditures- high volumes of invoicing
- General credit card expenses
- Paying vendors and respond to all finance related queries
- Liaising with internal contacts and suppliers to ensure payments are made efficiently and accurately
- Continuous improvement of payment processes
- 3 years minimum experience in an Accounts Payable and/or Payroll role, construction background is essential
- Tertiary qualifications within Finance/Accounting advantageous
- Impeccable communication skills - Both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
- JOBPAC or similar construction software experience
- Salary negotatiable and dependant on experience, upwards from $100K package
