Our Position
The Accounts Receivable Officer is responsible for the effective daily operational management of debtors and Accounts Receivable practices.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to;
- Ensuring credit and collection policies and procedures are adhered to;
- Following up overdue invoices by telephone, email and letter within agreed time frames and ensure the (IFP) item prevention fulfilments procedures is adhered to;
- Receipting, allocation, and reconciliation of payments;
- Conducting credit assessment and analysis of new and existing customers;
- Daily management of the NCI Credentials portal;
- Maintaining the integrity of the debtors’ master file;
- Processing and maintaining monthly rebates;
- Preparation of monthly statements, client status reports and relevant information as required;
- Manage disputes ensuring regular follow up or escalate as appropriate;
- Ensure cash sales accounts are cleared and reconciled daily;
- Review and processing of customer credits;
- Weekly and monthly cash forecasting;
- Bank reconciliations; and
- Consulting and responding to internal and external customer queries.
About You
You must be able to demonstrate the following experience, abilities, and personal attributes:
Qualifications/experience
- 3-5 years' experience in a similar role;
- Intermediate knowledge of finance / accounting processes and principles;
- Strong Excel and analysis skills; and
- Experience in the use of NetSuite or similar finance system.
Skills and abilities
- Strong understanding of debt recovery process, through to legal process;
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills for liaising with a wide range of people;
- Proactive and professional customer service skills;
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy;
- Excellent time management and organisational skills; and
- Honest, reliable and the ability to remain confidential.
