Full Time - 6 Months Fixed Term
The Accounts Receivable Officer will be an active member of the Finance team, maintaining positive relationships, and contributing to the overall growth and success of St John (NSW). This role is an opportunity to work within a collaborative team environment and reports into the Accounts Receivable Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the daily processing and allocation of customer payments including EFT payments and BPoint in SAP Business One
- Managing Debtors' accounts within agreed trading terms and in line with the organisation's credit policy
- Following up on customer enquiries with regard to their monthly statements
- Bank Reconciliation of our payment gateway (BPoint)
- Key player in managing debtors' accounts within agreed KPI's (maintaining agreed DSO)
- Effectively maximise cash flow through successful collection processes
- Performing banking duties and assist in opening of incoming mail
- Processing customer refunds and liaise with customers to update on progress of refund
- Liaising with customers, sales and other internal departments to resolve collections related queries and non-payments
- Matching Debtors Accounts with Payment Allocations
- Managing the refund process
- Participating in all finance processes that contribute to the effective management of receivables
Our Ideal Candidate will have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Debt Collection / Accounts Receivable in complex and high volume environment
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multi task and prioritise tasks
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Intermediate Excel skills including Pivot table reporting, Vlookup and data manipulation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to demonstrate empathy with the ethos of the organisation
- Able to work effectively within a commercial and not-for-profit cultural environment
- Evidence of having two doses of the COVID-19 Vaccine or the vaccine requirements identified in the St John NSW COVID-19 Vaccination Policy
