The Role
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Finance Team. The successful candidate will be someone who is proactive, self-motivated and has a strong work ethic.
Qualifications & experience
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
- Completed studies in Accountancy/Bookkeeping Cert IV or higher
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts to ensure timely collection of payments.
- Management of Internal Automated AR Software
- Maintain accurate records of all Accounts Receivable transactions.
- Conduct credit checks and set credit terms for new customers.
- Prepare regular reports on receivables status and aging.
- Manage AR Inbox and provide exceptional customer service to clients regarding their accounts.
- Implement and improve processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure payments are accurately assigned to customer accounts.
- Prepare any invoices as required for manual orders and events
- Respond to internal queries as required on a daily basis
Skills
- Experience using Sage Intacct or an External AR Software highly regarded but not essential
- Organised and able to meet deadlines
- Ability to think outside the box and is solution driven
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Knowledge and understanding of how an ecommerce business operates
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong numerical, problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
