We are seeking an Acting Support Teacher-Inclusive Education (ST:IE) for Term 2 due to our ST:IE taking a period of Long Service Leave. This position would be for 24 hours per week working Monday to Thursday. The successful application would work primarily with our Prep to Year 2 cohorts. They would be required to work collaboratively with our 2nd ST:IE who works with the Year 3-Year 6 cohorts.
About the role - In collaboration with students, parents, teachers, members of the Leadership team and allied health professionals, you will support students across the full range of abilities and needs, to meet specific learning needs. In particular you will assist the teacher to design and implement inclusive and effective teaching and learning strategies to engage and improve education outcomes of supported students

- Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment which is learner-centred, safe, supportive, co-operative and aligned with relevant curriculum, policies and practices
- Collaborate with your peers to develop and implement quality curriculum programs and appropriate pedagogy
- Assess, provide feedback and report on student learning
- Work with the school leadership team and colleagues to contribute to the professional life of the school
- Proactively engage with professional learning to enhance student learning outcomes
- Ensure that the teachings and values of the Catholic Church form a foundation for learning and teaching.
- A strong knowledge of Inclusive Education practices and a clear understanding of the Australian Curriculum
- Commitment to child safety
- Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills with a proven capacity to work as part of a team
- Experience in implementing Individual Curriculum Plans.
- Know and understand the Disability Discrimination Act and apply Disability Standards for Education
