We are seeking an energetic Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator to join our dynamic and collaborative team.
The successful candidate must be dedicated to improving life and experiences of our clients through exceptional client engagement, organisational skills and a passion for working with older people. The Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator needs to work collaboratively with the Activities Assistant to ensure the activity days are a smooth running, welcoming, positive environment that is organised and planned efficiently.
The activities centre is the spirited, lively, social heart of RAH Townsville. This is a busy but rewarding role and would ideally suit someone experienced in a similar role or experienced in the Community Aged Care Industry will be very highly regarded.
The Position Includes:
Communicating with clients and stakeholders on a regular basis
Planning and executing all activities each month and ensuring you are planned in advance
General administration duties - monitoring and replying to emails, data entry, scanning and filing, proficient use of Microsoft office
Providing excellent customer service with a friendly, energetic and approachable manner
Directing and working alongside the activities assistant
Teamwork, being able to work collaboratively toward a common goal whilst working independently
Coordinating group transport of the clients
Encourage and engage clients to participate in activities
Working Hours:
This position is a Monday to Thursday position, permanent days/times to be negotiated around activity days.

Entry Level Position, Training Provided
Essential Requirements:
CHC43415 Certificate IV in Leisure & Health required (OR WILLING TO STUDY). Currently Entry Level Position, Training Provided
Minimum 1 year experience within a similar role highly regarded
Demonstrated relationship and rapport building skills and ability to adapt to communicating and interacting with a range of backgrounds, abilities and health concerns.
An up-beat and friendly nature
High Proficiency with the Microsoft Suite and confident with computer use
Demonstrated ability to effectively time manage, plan, and prioritise a high volume of tasks independently
Excellent verbal & written communication
Current criminal history check or willing to obtain
Double COVID-19 vaccinated
Current First Aid and CPR Certificate or willing to obtain
