Convenient transport options connect you to Kingscliff Shopping Village, Tweed City Shopping Centre, Old Boat Harbour Park, Tweed Banora Medical Centre and more.Aveo has an opportunity for a passionate and energised Events & Activities Coordinator to join our team based in Ocean View Retirement Living. Reporting directly to the Community Manager, you will work both autonomously and collaboratively to coordinate events, activities and services for the residents. In this fantastic community, you will motivate, engage and enable residents to participate in a wide range of experiences including physical, social and community-orientated activities every day.This is a Part-Time position , working Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm. You willCoordinate and deliver fun, inclusive and exciting events to our residents on a regular scheduleDeliver a holistic activities program that promotes independence, learning new hobbies and enabling social connectionsCollaborate and engage with key stakeholders such as our Resident Committee, local businesses and Aveo staff to deliver programs that builds participationCreate schedules for all new events and distribute newsletters highlighting upcoming eventsBe the welcoming face to all new residents in the community by ensuring they are engaged and supported in their transition to our community.Complete general ad-hoc duties including (but not limited to): conducting feedback surveys, attending staff meetings, participating in networking events and general administrative tasksWhat you will bring A genuine interest in improving the lives of seniorsPrevious experience in coordinating programs, events or activities with a resident-centred approachA natural networker - someone who can collaborate with the community, residents and external stakeholdersBe creative - we want someone to create FUN events!Certificate IV in Leisure & Health (highly desired or willing to obtain)Current COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)Current Police Check clearance (required, but we can complete for you)Current First Aid & CPR Certificate (required or willing to obtain prior to commencement)What we offer: $32.81/hr + relevant Aged Care Award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances + superannuationPotential to earn up to 12 weeks Parental LeaveAbility to purchase additional Annual LeaveEmployee Referral Program, earning you up to $1000!Further career opportunities and developmentBe part of a friendly and supportive teamOpportunity to work across a number of our neighbouring communitiesFree Employee Assistance ProgramWho we are As a leader in Retirement Living, with 30 years' experience, Aveo provides the stability and confidence to try new things and keep innovating.
