Our client is a leading supplier of premixed concrete, aggregates, and sands to the commercial, industrial, civil and residential construction sectors. With plants and quarries, They are a respected brand, employing over 1500 people and together provide cement, lime, concrete, aggregates, concrete products and industrial minerals nationally.

If you have a passion for Customer Service and a talent for problem solving and prioritizing workload, then this is the opportunity for you! This is very similar role to a fleet controller in transport however, also involves large volume of Data Entry.

What we are looking for / Requirements

• Reliable, strong work ethic
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, or a willingness to learn, physically fit and confident working with computers;
• Experience in Jonel or Command batching systems preferred;
• Demonstrated ability to priorities work effectively in an environment of constant change'
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with diverse customers;
• Able to work Monday to Friday, start time is anytime between 3am-6:30am and finish anywhere between 1-5pm. Saturdays are half days start; 4-6am and be finished by approximately 11am. Generally 1 Saturday off a month, rotating roster.

General ResponsibilitiesIn this diverse position you will play a critical role in our business by ensuring customer expectations are met at all stages of our ordering & delivery processes. You will provide excellent Customer Service whilst taking orders, batch (large volume of Data Entry) concrete to customer specifications and schedule and allocate deliveries to maximize the efficiency and utilization of concrete agitator trucks.

• Represent the brand and provide excellent phone-based Customer Service;
• Take orders and finalize the sale of pre-mixed concrete for delivery;
• Batch concrete to specific mix designs via a computerized system;
• Use software packages to schedule rostering and truck movements for the region;
• Order raw materials
• Willing to work in the yard
• Willing to learn to operate a front end loader
• Okay to work at some height
