Role Description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing Administration Assistant to join and support our team.
The role would suit an all-round office person who can work well in a small team environment. There is plenty of variety and scope to learn and expand your professional skills. Your duties will include assisting with the general running of the business, reporting to the Office Manager.
This is a permanent position and will be offered as either full time or part time (minimum 30 hours per week), to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Duties include
- Reception duties, answering phones, greeting customers and suppliers
- General office administration duties including data entry, filing, printing, scanning and copying
- Efficiently manage customer requests and general enquiries
- Basic accounts duties including raising invoices, receipting inward goods, matching invoices to statements, mail and banking duties
- Use of MYOB Accounting Software (training can be provided)
- Arrange and book in freight pickups and deliveries
- Assist with End of Month processes
- Assist with and support the QA system ensuring internal systems are updated and being adhered to
- Assist Sales and Engineering teams with quoting and tendering processes as required
- Assist with and support the purchasing process as required
- General ad hoc duties as required by management
Requirements
- Be proactive and passionate in providing exceptional customer service
- Be well presented with excellent interpersonal skills and manners
- Demonstrate a clear and effective telephone manner; fluent in English
- Be confident, proactive and demonstrate strong attention to detail
- Be honest and reliable with a positive and enthusiastic "can do" attitude
- Possess a strong desire to develop and expand their general knowledge and skills
- Computer software experience and literacy in MS Word, Excel and Outlook (MYOB also preferred)
- Previous relevant working history would be beneficial and highly regarded but not essential
Education
- Senior high school certificate with passes in English and Maths
- Relevant TAFE course in Business Administration or similar highly regarded
